Sad Ghazals
Sad ghazals or "sad ghazals" describe emotions such as love, separation, pain, loneliness, and failure. These ghazals are an important and sensitive part of Urdu literature, which express emotions and feelings from the depths of the heart. In sad ghazals, the poet expresses the sadness of his heart, the grief of separation from his beloved, the impermanence of life, and the unfaithfulness of the world.
اتنا درد کیوں دیتے ہو
GHAZAL
Why do you give so much pain,
Why do you torment me all day long?
If I turn away, I won't return,
I won’t come back to trouble you anymore.
The moments after I’m gone,
When they come back to haunt you,
They will make you cry so much,
They’ll torment you, and keep you awake.
In this city of love,
I have no other place to go,
Come into my world,
Find a place within my soul.
In your memory, I burn each day,
Why do you make me cry this way?
I’ve come to your doorstep,
And I’ll only leave after finding you.
If there are grievances between us,
I will wipe them all away,
For now, I call out to you,
Claiming my right over you.
Understand this love of mine,
Tell me, how will you ever forget it?
Whenever I have prayed,
I have asked God for you.
If you are not with me,
Then I will not be able to live.
If I turn away, I won’t return,
I won't come back to trouble you again.
I won't wake you up anymore,
I won't try to make you mine anymore.
Why do you give so much pain,
Why do you give so much pain?
